CALGARY, AB, April 3, 2019 – Accelerate Fund II is pleased to announce its investment in Solv3D, a Calgary-based software company providing solutions for geospatial data processing and visualization to help customers with improved planning, estimation and project management.
Solv3D focuses on the optimization and ease of use of geospatial data. Their SiteVisit360 web-based platform brings together a range of geospatial datasets to provide a holistic view of an area of interest through an Internet browser. Solv3D also provides a professional grade point cloud processing toolkit with its 3DPointLogic application.
“Most of us have become familiar with Google Street View,” explained Scott Campbell, CEO of Solv3D. “SiteVisit360 is similar in concept but far more robust, with the ability to use multiple types of geospatial data within a single view, create measurements, tag points of interest, and provide a truly collaborative environment. We have construction and engineering clients that see the technology as a major competitive advantage in being able to bid profitably for projects and run them efficiently.”
The investment from Alberta’s Accelerate Fund II will help Solv3D to scale their sales and marketing capabilities to support continued growth across North America.
“In Solv3D we found a strong team, targeting a huge market, demonstrating early traction with paying customers,” explained Nate Glubish, outgoing Accelerate Fund II Investment Manager. “We believe Solv3D has competitive advantage over other emerging products in the geospatial technologies market, and the Accelerate Fund II team is excited to help them expand their business.”
“I look forward to working with the experienced leaders at Solv3D and supporting them in their growth,” added Arden Tse, the new Investment Manager for Accelerate Fund II. “With Solv3D, the Accelerate Fund II portfolio now includes seven early-stage Alberta technology businesses that we are actively helping to scale.”
Solv3D is the creator of innovative software solutions for geospatial data processing, visualization and collaboration. The 3DPointLogic™ processing toolkit assists users in optimizing point cloud data for effective use within their applications and workflows. SiteVisit360™ provides the ability to merge together a myriad of geospatial datasets in a single platform. Within a web-based environment, it enables all stakeholders to easily gain situational awareness and work together on projects, AOIs and assets, regardless of geographical location or level of expertise. www.solv3d.com
